Custom Made Glass Aquarium Kits

Blown Glass Fish & Octopus Aquarium

Here you get the complete Blown Glass Fish & Octopus Aquarium Kit. This is so easy to put together and maintain! No filter is needed...just a bit of light so the plants can continue to grow.

The plants that you get is a slender-leaf arrowhead which is a great Pond Plant as well as an aquarium plant. When used in aquariums it usually does not get the longer ovate leaves or flowers. However...it is still possible that you may get that in this tank because of the depth so a bonus!

I also put a small bit of the coon tail plant which is a very lacy plant that can just float around.

You will get sand that goes on the bottom first, then you spread the arrowhead root section out in a circle/fanned out so there are roots all around and place it on top of the sand. Then while holding your plant up...you gently put in your marbles on top of the roots. This will hold your plant in place. Now gently add the water so as not to disturb all the marbles sand and roots.

As your plant grows..you can cut it back to maintain it..it will produce more and then you can make another one.

The photos here shows you all the bubbles you will have at first. Within 24 hours most bubbles will be gone.

Your kit also comes with the cute blown fish & an Octopus. These are floating by suspension on a glass ball and fishing line!

I put the kit together with my color choices so they complement each other. You can ask if I have certain colors but I may not be able to fill it. I have included other pictures showing more colors of fish and octopus that I have.

Last the tall Glass aquarium is on a lead crystal base and the entire aquarium stands 11" Tall X 3 1/2" Wide.

Live Ramshorn Snails

Temperatures may keep me from being able to ship at certain times of the year so be sure to ask before buying.Thank you...Teresa

Ramshorn snails generally will eat only the most delicate plants, preferring  algae, uneaten fish food, and dead fish. Some varieties do particularly enjoy eating the leaves of stem plants such as cabomba & anacharis.

Some aquarium species will eat ramshorn snails. More voracious eaters include loaches (such as the clown loach or any other member of the genus botia, bettas crayfish & most gouramis. Although many other fish will also consume snail meat.

Good fish roommates for snails include, but are not limited to, danios, guppies, white cloud mountain minnows neon tetras & cory catfish. All of these are non-aggressive fish that cohabitate easily with snails.

These are great food for you puffers! Need more than I have listed here? Contact me via email tnr@windstream.net

Hand Made Ramshorn Snails for terrariums shade gardens etc.

These snails are perfect for your new terrarium creations or even in an outside shade garden. I have used them even in the open container terrarium.

They are made from old Ramshorn shells that I have collected over the years from old ponds. The antennas are made from wire so you can cut shorter and bend as you would like.(Be gentle)

There is such a variety in colors on the shells and they range in size from 1/2" up to 1" in length.

A piece of wire under the body allows you to place them on various materials as shown in the photos. (Moss, mushrooms etc.)

  Hornwort/Coontail aquarium or Pond Plants

Coontail (Ceratophyllum demersum) is a free-floating submersed plant without any roots. They are found all over the world growing in sluggish water. Sometimes they are loosely anchored in the mud. Coontail draws its nutrients from the water directly rather than from sediment like most rooted aquatic plants. It can survive in cool waters and low light. During the winter months, it lives under the ice as an evergreen plant and resumes rapid growth in the spring. Many people place coontails in their ponds to give protection and shade to fish.

Coontail Identification

  • Dark green forking leaves, up to 1-2 inches in length arranged in whorls on the stem

  • Submersed plant without roots

  • Plants may be bushy or very long and sparse

  • Feathery leaves on the stem resemble a raccoon’s tail. The stems can grow 1 to 2 feet in length.

  • Great for your aquarium as well for baby fish protection there as well as in your pond.

You will be getting 3 sections that are at least 6-8” long
